I’m Ward Sparacio
When my wife and I became foster parents, I embarked upon one of the most important and meaningful endeavors in my life. I became a pro-child activist, going to Olympia to advocate for the children of diverse backgrounds and challenging circumstances who were under my care.
Now, with my two children enrolled in Coupeville schools, I am running for School Board as an extension of my passion to see that every child has an opportunity to succeed to the best of their abilities.
As a Director, I will balance my passion for our children’s learning with my professional and executive experience. When elected, I will help provide our school district with effective strategic planning and responsible implementation, never forgetting the financial accountability we owe our taxpayers.
Children are our greatest responsibility. We owe them an education that prepares them to thrive and contribute, whether it be in Coupeville or in a global environment. We must provide an education that teaches children critical thinking and the fundamental skills required in the real world. Our children must learn how to think, not what to think.
